Oakdeane was approached by a Private Individual with substantial cash resources. This client wished to purchase a property with a blue-chip covenant, benefiting from a long lease. The client also required complete security and was not prepared to join a consortium.
In discussion, it transpired that pension provision was limited so we considered properties with a very long lease term in lieu of pension. The client was advised that this sort of property would attract a premium and was agreeable. In due course a large Sainsbury’s site with a very long occupational lease was sourced on behalf of the client.
